PinkPantheress has announced the cancellation of all remaining tour dates for 2024, citing concerns for her “physical health and overall wellbeing” as the primary reason.

Since her stratospheric rise to fame in 2021, the 23-year-old British artist, known offstage as Victoria Beverley Walker, has continued to rise through the ranks. Her 2022 hit, Boys a Liar, shot to the number two spot in the UK charts, while its 2023 remix with American rapper Ice Spice became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three.

Now, however, she has taken the difficult decision to cancel of all her remaining tour dates for 2024.

The cancellation affects numerous scheduled performances, including her supporting slots on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour. PinkPantheress had joined Olivia Rodrigo for several US tour dates in July, but her July 27 performance in Oklahoma City was cancelled due to health reasons. She was scheduled to open another six shows on the tour in August.

Rodrigo has not yet announced if there will be a replacement support act for these performances.

In her heartfelt message to fans on Instagram, the Pain star emphasised the necessity of prioritising her health to ensure she can continue making music and performing in the future. “It is with the heaviest heart that I sadly have to announce that I will not be able to continue with the rest of my live shows this year in order to focus on my physical health and overall well-being. It appears I have reached a wall which I am struggling to penetrate through.”

“I would like to thank all of you, as well as my touring team and Olivia for giving me the platform to perform some super fun shows. I’m sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other’s company once I return to health.”

Additionally, Walker’s decision impacts her planned festival appearances in Florida, Arizona, the UK, and Thailand, as well as her entire tour of Australia and New Zealand, which included eight supporting dates for Coldplay.

Fans have shown an outpouring of support and understanding, emphasizing the importance of her well-being above all else. Many have taken to social media to express their support and wish her a speedy recovery.
