Multi-platinum singer and songwriter Dermot Kennedy has laid out plans for what will be the most ambitious live run of his career.

The announcement arrives with considerable momentum, coming only weeks after news of two major headline dates at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, one of which has already reached full capacity.

Kennedy’s ascent has been marked by a steady shift from busking and small club shows to top chart positions and international touring. Best known for performances that balance intimacy with scale, he pairs his weathered voice with atmospheric arrangements that capture the emotional sweep of his songwriting.

The new tour places Kennedy firmly among the leading live performers in contemporary music. It also signals an artist ready to expand both his reach and his production scale. The journey across the continent includes some of the largest rooms he has ever headlined and culminates in six arena shows across the UK.

The 2026 shows promise a wide ranging setlist drawing from his full catalogue, along with fresh material from the forthcoming album. While specific details about new songs are yet to surface, Kennedy has hinted in recent interviews that the next chapter of his work will explore themes of resilience, renewal and the tension between public life and personal grounding.

Fans attending these concerts may be among the first to hear what direction he chooses.

The European leg opens in Copenhagen on 11 May at Falkonersalen before heading north to Stockholm’s Annexet the following night. The tour then moves into Germany with stops in Hamburg and Berlin. A mid-month performance in Zurich and an evening at Paris’s noted Olympia venue widen the route. The schedule continues through Luxembourg, Brussels and Munich, followed by appearances in Vienna and Düsseldorf. Amsterdam’s AFAS Live closes out the mainland portion on 27 May.

The UK dates begin on 29 May in Glasgow at the OVO Hydro. The following night sees Kennedy arrive in Manchester for a show at the AO Arena, after which he travels to Cardiff, Leeds and Birmingham. The return to London on 5 June brings the main run to a close. Summer then leads him back to Dublin, where he will take over Aviva Stadium on 11 and 12 July.

In 2024, he stripped back to basics and released the introspective EP, “I’ve told the trees everything,” Dermot has shared the stage with some of his finest contemporaries, most recently with Niall Horan, Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan

His previous albums drew praise for their balance of vulnerability and ambition. This next phase appears set to elevate his live presence even further. For an artist who built his following through patience and persistence, the 2026 tour reads as both a reward and another step forward.

Fans in the UK and Germany will have the chance to secure presale tickets through pre-orders of Kennedy’s upcoming third album.

Ticket presales open on 26 November, followed by General Sale on 28 November.
