Mark your calendars, because the 23rd of July is right around the corner! With the approaching 13th anniversary (how did the years go so fast?) of the day five teenage boys were formed into one of the biggest boy bands in the world, One Direction. Fans are gaining excitement for what is to come for each of the boys’ solo careers, and we can’t help but wonder if this might be the year we get the alleged One Direction reunion.
With all that’s been going on in the 1D fandom, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of everything happening within the solo careers of each former member of the band. With all the new tour announcements, talk of the 1D days, and new music on the horizon, we’ve created a collection of the most important information you should know about past projects and future plans!
Niall Horan
We wouldn’t be able to ‘look fab feel fab’ if it weren’t for our favourite TikTok influencer supplying us with endless content on the platform. Niall has fully embraced the life of a TikTok creator giving fans music teasers, his best skincare tips, and staying on trend with all the latest filters.
Niall has also been busy with his recent appearance as a coach on the 23rd season of The Voice, starting off strong with his team member Gina Miles winning the competition, and has since announced that he will also appear on the 24th season! If Niall wasn’t already busy enough with his release of ten songs on his new album, The Show, he certainly is now, with the announcement of his upcoming tour. Niall will tour internationally, starting in 2024. If you missed the pre-sale, make sure to hop on Ticketmaster (or your preferred reseller) and get your ticket! In addition to his set tour dates, Niall will be in attendance at a number of festivals throughout the rest of 2023, where he will perform along with other music artists.

Louis Tomlinson
From his teenage years, to now, being just over thirty, the oldest of the five, has accomplished a lot, in the last year. Louis is currently touring in the United States, and will continue to other locations for additional legs of the tour, including his plans to tour into 2024, with the presale for Australia shows coming soon! The tour features Louis’ newest album, Faith in the Future, as well as music from past albums, and even some songs from his 1D past!
Along with new music, Louis also released a documentary that had been in the works for some time. The documentary contained unseen footage from Louis’ teenage years, as well as his current life. Louis discussed growing up in one of the most popular boy bands, as well as family, the importance of writing, and figuring out life after the band. Louis can also be seen performing at the Away From Home Festival this August which will be put on by him and his team for the third year in a row. The festival will feature Louis, along with other artists and groups such as The Cribs, Blossoms, Hot Wax, Andrew Cushin, and more performers that are yet to be announced! With a lined-up tour stretching into next year, there’s no doubt in our minds that Louis has exciting future plans waiting for his fans!

Harry Styles
With the final show approaching for Love on Tour, Harry is due a well-deserved break. His last stop on tour will take place on the 22nd of July. Numerous fan projects such as the hashtag, #GoodnightH, started by fans, are currently in the works. While fans are glad Harry is taking a break from touring, rumours have led many to believe that it won’t be long before we hear about new shows or music!
Somehow with all this touring, the singer has managed to find time to go out and sign autographs, as well as take selfies with fans who are passing by. And while we’re sure you’ve heard by now on social media, we just had to tell you about the seven new wax figures that were recently put up in Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museums, featuring an assortment of different looks from the statement-making star. While he’s had a non-stop year so far, we’re quite sure that Harry’s life won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

Liam Payne
If we had to count on one of the former boy band members for his social media activity, we could trust Liam to check in on his fans from time to time. From Instagram lives where he had answered fans’ questions and talked about new projects, to Tiktoks giving us a look into his daily
life, Liam knows how to keep us engaged. Liam is doing some touring of his own with a mini-tour of South America. Liam has been encouraging fans in the concert locations to use the sound, from his popular song “Strip that Down” to share about the places they are from. Liam has also been keeping active on the football field (or soccer here in the U.S) playing at Soccer Aid for UNICEF, a non-profit that supports the United Nations Children’s Fund. With his busy schedule, on and off the stage, we can’t wait to see what Liam does next!

Zayn Malik
It would be an understatement to say Zayn caused a stir when he completely wiped out his Instagram profile, shortly before announcing brand new music, his song, “Love Like This”, which is set to release this Friday, July 21st (pre-save now!).
Additionally, Zayn recently appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper, who spoke with him on creating new music, family life, his journey in music and his time in One Direction! Getting this much content from the singer, who had practically been silent on all forms of social media, despite the occasional post or like, fans were excited to hear Zayn’s thoughts on the past, and what he’s excited about for the future. We’re not sure exactly what we will see from Zayn coming up in the next few months, but, we can’t wait to find out!
