Apple Music Adds In-App Concert Listings in Latest Update

Apple Music has announced new features allowing users to discover concerts and buy tickets without leaving the app, as part of its latest software update.

The changes, introduced in the iOS 26.4 update currently in beta, include integrations with Bandsintown and Ticketmaster.

The update will enable users to view tour dates, venue details and ticket links directly on an artist’s page. This means listeners can check upcoming performances and purchase tickets while streaming music, rather than switching between apps.

Concert listings will also appear on the app’s homepage in a personalised carousel, with recommendations based on listening habits. A new “Concerts” tab will allow users to filter events by location, genre and date, while also offering additional details such as venue information and set lists.

Users who follow specific artists will receive notifications when new shows are announced nearby.

The feature builds on existing tools within Apple’s ecosystem. Similar concert discovery functions are already available through Shazam, which is owned by Apple.

Bandsintown said artists can enable the feature by linking their Apple Music profile through its platform, with events appearing in the app within one to two days. The company added that venues and promoters using its professional tools may also have events highlighted.

Ticketmaster said its partnership with Apple Music would bring ticket discovery into “moments when fans are most engaged with music”.

“Our partnership with Apple Music brings concert discovery directly into the moments when fans are most engaged with music,” said Michael Chua, the company’s vice president of global business development.

“Together, we’re creating a seamless path from listening to attending.”

The announcement follows other recent updates to Apple Music. Earlier this month, the service introduced a new integration with TikTok, allowing subscribers to play full-length tracks discovered on the social media app without leaving it.
