Taylor Swift Announces Disney+ Double Drop with Two New Films

Just when you thought Taylor Swift couldn’t possibly outdo herself, she’s done it again.
Taylor Swift is set to release two new projects on Disney+, following the historic success of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which earned more than four million equivalent album units in its first week in the United States – the biggest debut in music history.
The 14-time GRAMMY® winner will return to the streaming platform with Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, and Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, both premiering on the platform on 12 December 2025.
The End of an Era is set to be a six-part documentary series offering an in-depth look at the global tour that became a cultural phenomenon. The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert tour in history, surpassing $1.4 billion in ticket sales by the end of 2024, and drawing in an estimated 4.3 million attendees across more than 150 shows worldwide.
The series will feature behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and contributions from Swift’s friends and collaborators, including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch. Two episodes will be released each week.
In addition, The Final Show will present the full concert film from the last night of The Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada. It will include the entire live performance of The Tortured Poets Department, an album that was incorporated into the tour following its release in 2024.
The End of an Era is directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, produced by Object & Animal. The Final Show is directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Taylor Swift Productions in association with Silent House Productions.
Swift’s latest projects arrive at the end of a year that has redefined what commercial and cultural success can look like in the modern music industry.
The Life of a Showgirl has not only topped charts around the world, but also reinforced her reputation as one of the most influential artists of her generation, whilst The Eras Tour made history at the tail end of 2024, driving billions in local economic activity and inspiring a global community of fans whose enthusiasm permeated every media outlet.
