Myles Smith Named BRITS Rising Star Winner 2025
Myles Smith has been announced as the winner of the 2025 BRIT Awards Rising Star Award.
The accolade, supported by BBC Radio 1, highlights emerging British talent, with Smith joining an illustrious list of past recipients including Adele, Florence + The Machine, and most recently, The Last Dinner Party.
Myles Smith has had a stellar year, marked by the success of his single Stargazing, which peaked at Number 4 on the UK charts and has garnered nearly 550m streams on Spotify to date. In addition to securing a deal with Sony Music UK’s RCA label in 2023, Smith also signed a publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing. His recent releases, including the EP, A Minute…, and the single Nice to Meet You (which reached Number 12 on the charts), have solidified his place in the industry.
The Luton-born singer-songwriter was revealed as the recipient of the prestigious award during BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show on 5 December. His heartfelt reaction to the win reflected his gratitude to fans and collaborators, stating, “I’m so grateful to my team, my family, and especially the fans who’ve supported me every step of the way. Your belief in me means everything. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s to come—thank you for being part of this journey.”
Other nominees for the award included Elmiene and the duo Good Neighbours, both of whom expressed excitement and gratitude for their nominations.
Previous winners of the Rising Star award, such as 2024’s The Last Dinner Party, have used the recognition as a springboard to chart-topping success.
The BRIT Awards 2025 ceremony will take place on 1 March, 2025.
