17 Reasons Not to Miss SEVENTEEN on Tour

People Enjoying the Concert

We know your concert calendar is already looking full but squeeze this one in if you can!

K-Pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN is currently touring North America on the Right Here World Tour. This is the group’s first United States tour since 2022 and though they are performing without two members, the remaining eleven are not to be missed. Whether you are a die-hard Carat or a casual fan, SEVENTEEN delivers a memorable performance.

S.Coups Is Back!

Couprangs rejoice! S.Coups has recovered from his ACL injury and is back performing alongside his bandmates. While he may not be jumping from the arms of backup dancers for his line in Super, if you did not already know about his injury, you would not even be able to tell.

Dance Performances

From sexy to silly, and even a mini dance battle with inflatable jungle animals, the group’s dynamic performances show what strong performers they are and how in sync seven years of performing together will make a team.

Unit Performances

The main three subunits of the group, Hip Hop, Performance and Vocal, each perform a song from the band’s newest mini album, as well as one from a previous release, showcasing their specific strengths.

Tender Moments for the Missing Members

Although members Jun and Jeonghan are not on this tour (they are currently filming a drama series and serving in the South Korean military, respectively), the remaining members ensure to leave space for them, leading to heartwarming moments which remind you that 13 members + three subunits + one team = SEVENTEEN.

Trading Freebies

The Eras Tour has catapulted concert friendship bracelets into the mainstream, but K-Pop fans have been trading freebies before concerts for years. There is nothing like being asked who your bias is before receiving a cute photo of them and a handmade bracelet or keychain with their name on it.

Fan Outfits

Maybe you are showing up to the show in a t-shirt and jeans, maybe you are coming in a perfectly curated outfit that you spent months planning, or maybe you are showing up in a pair of waders and a straw hat. Carats are pulling out all their favourite outfits from past music videos or Going Seventeen episodes. You are sure to see more than a few tiger outfits as well.

Horanghae

Speaking of tigers, member Hoshi’s iconic horanghae (translated to ‘I tiger you’) is a truly cult-like moment where the entire crowd raises their hands (aka ‘tiger signs’) in the air back to him. Over a minute introduction for tiger based shenanigans, what other group provides this sort of entertainment?

New Songs

Eight of the twenty-six songs on the setlist come from their most recent three albums, giving United States fans a chance to hear favourites like Super and the newly released Water live for the first time.

Fan Favourite Songs

In addition to the new tracks, fan favourites like Lilili Yabbay and Home still made the cut. And while, so far, audiences missed out on Don Quixote or Mansae, it seems that the group is incorporating snippets of other favourites into their audience interactions.

Fan Chants

Every concert has an element of call and response, but there is something special about the fan chants at K-Pop shows, not to mention the barking whenever S.Coups appears on the big screen.

Audience Participation

More than other groups, SEVENTEEN looks to the audience to have them be a part of the show. Dance battles and sing-alongs make the concert feel like a group activity, no matter where you are in the venue.

Seungkwan in the Crowd

Speaking of audience participation, if you are lucky enough to snag floor seats, be prepared to sing the high note in Very Nice. Seungkwan, who usually sings the note, selects a fan from the crowd to sing it instead and has them start the chorus. It is not just one fan either so there are multiple chances to be picked for the high note (and see Seungkwan up close).

Aju Nice

It is not a SEVENTEEN concert without a seemingly endless supply of ‘Aju Nice’s. During the chorus of the song Very Nice (aju/아주 meaning very), the crowd will be jumping, shouting, and having an overall good time again, and again, and again. Wear comfortable shoes because the members will get you to jump.

Encore

And you will not just dance to Very Nice, no, that would be too easy. The band is going to get you to jump and dance to three other never-ending encore songs. The fun does not stop, even when the stage screens close around the members and they wave goodbye, because they will pop out and keep the energy up for another round of encore sing-alongs.

Members

Everyone has their bias, and their bias wrecker, and a soft spot for the maknae, and a soft spot for the leader, and- okay admit it, you like them all. Each member shines in their own way and getting to see them in front of you, not just through a screen, is special. Plus, you might leave with a new favourite.

You Get to See PopBase’s Crush

If you are a fan of quite literally anyone, you have probably seen a post by X user @PopBase. You might also be familiar with their admin’s poetic and verbose posts about SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu. Mingyu certainly is a heartthrob, and there is something to be said about knowing you are seeing the infamous admin’s crush in the flesh.

They May Not Tour for a While After This

The elephant in the room is that with Jeonghan already gone off to the military, it is likely that the group may not be touring again soon. Thirteen members is a lot of service time, even if some are exempt from serving. This may just be your last chance to see the group until they have all completed their mandatory military conscriptions.
