Soundcloud Integrates into TikTok’s ‘Add To Your Music’ Feature

The new integration allows Soundcloud users to save songs they discover on the short-form video platform directly to their preferred streaming library.
The feature, first launched in late 2023, enables TikTok users to tap an “Add Song” button beside the track name at the bottom of a video in their For You Feed, linking the music directly to their streaming account. Soundcloud users will now be able to save these tracks to their Liked Tracks playlist with a single tap.
Initially rolled out in the US and UK with Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify, TikTok has since expanded the feature to most countries where the app is available. Other streaming platforms, including Deezer, Melon, and TIDAL, have also joined the programme.
“Soundcloud has always been the go-to platform for discovering what’s next in music, from emerging artists to breakout genres,” said Emmy Lovell, Soundcloud’s Global Head of Music. “Partnering with TikTok makes it easier than ever for fans to save the songs they love and stay connected with the artists behind them. This integration helps turn casual listeners into lifelong superfans while strengthening our commitment to fueling the next generation of music culture.”
TikTok, which is owned by Chinese tech company ByteDance, has played a significant role in shaping modern music trends, with viral clips often propelling tracks to mainstream success.
“Tens of millions of TikTok users take advantage of the Add to Music App feature to save the music they discover on TikTok to their favourite streaming platform,” said Lindsey Kelt Zikry, TikTok’s Global Product Partnerships Lead.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Soundcloud – the leading platform helping artists to bring their music from concept to audience – to support emerging and aspiring artists in reaching new fans and superfans on TikTok.”
TikTok reports that since the launch of the feature, users have saved over a billion tracks, generating billions of additional streams across participating music platforms.
