The French festival has unveiled a host of huge names joining the bill this year.

Rock en Seine has revealed a new wave of names for its 2026 edition, adding further weight to a bill that already positions the Parisian festival as one of Europe’s essential end-of-summer gatherings.

Returning to the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud from Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 August, the festival once again promises to turn the historic park on the western edge of Paris into a five-day celebration of contemporary music, just as the summer holidays draw to a close.

Founded in 2003, Rock en Seine has steadily grown from a guitar-leaning alternative festival into a vast, multi-genre event that now attracts well over 100,000 attendees each year. Set against the backdrop of the former royal estate, the festival has become known for pairing major international headliners with sharp emerging talent, while also maintaining a strong connection to the French and European scenes.

Previous editions have hosted the likes of Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, PJ Harvey, Tame Impala and Massive Attack, cementing its reputation as a reliable barometer of the musical moment.

This year’s top line is already formidable, with Tyler, The Creator, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and The Cure confirmed as headliners across the five days. Now, organisers have finally lifted the curtain on Thursday 27 August, a date that had until now remained conspicuously blank.

The mystery slot will be filled by Lorde, who has now been announced as the day’s headliner. The New Zealand-born global pop figure returns to the European festival circuit for what is set to be one of her most high-profile French appearances in recent years, bringing her emotionally-charged songwriting and stadium-scale intimacy to Saint-Cloud.

Thursday’s lineup continues with Djo, the musical project of actor Joe Keery, whose steadily growing catalogue of synth-laced indie pop has earned him credibility well beyond his screen work.

Australian multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana is also confirmed, offering their fluid blend of pop, R&B and psychedelic soul, alongside Sam Quealy, the Paris-based Australian artist whose futuristic pop and hybrid techno have marked her out as one of the capital’s most intriguing recent exports.

Friday 28 August leans into Rock en Seine’s long-standing love of alternative and indie rock. Breakout duo Wet Leg are set to bring their sharp hooks and deadpan wit to the festival, while Chicago veterans Wilco arrive as elder statesmen of the American independent scene, still capable of commanding vast audiences more than thirty years into their career.

Completing the day’s new additions is CMAT, the Dublin singer-songwriter whose country-flecked indie pop has propelled her from cult favourite to festival mainstay.

The momentum continues on Saturday, 29 August, with three further acts bolstering an already high-energy bill. Philadelphia quartet Mannequin Pussy will deliver their ferocious blend of punk and noise rock, New York electroclash newcomers Fcukers add a shot of club-ready chaos, and California’s AFI return to European stages with their take on hardcore and emo, a sound that has long proved particularly potent in a live setting.

Sunday 30 August brings the festival to a close with two contrasting yet complementary additions.

Bertrand Belin, a singular presence on the French music scene, will bring his understated, poetic songwriting to the lawns of Saint-Cloud, while London post-punk outfit Dry Cleaning represent a British scene in full resurgence, known for their dry spoken-word delivery and taut, propulsive instrumentation.
