Levellr Unveils AI Tool to Decode Superfan Conversations on Discord

Music and entertainment companies gain new insight into fan behaviour with real-time social listening platform
Levellr, the fan community platform known for powering next-generation artist-to-fan experiences, has launched an artificial intelligence social listening tool aimed at transforming how artists, labels, and brands understand and engage with their fan communities.
The tool is designed to extract meaning from the constant stream of online chatter, particularly within fan hubs on Discord, where real-time conversation can be both a goldmine and a logistical challenge.
With a growing emphasis across the industry on superfans—those deeply engaged and loyal supporters who drive disproportionate value in music, gaming, and creator economies—the need to understand these communities has never been more pressing. However, the scale and speed of conversation on platforms like Discord has made it increasingly difficult to separate valuable insights from noise.
Levellr’s new AI tool addresses this by analysing millions of messages using large language models (LLMs), the same class of advanced AI behind generative chatbots and natural language processors. The system automatically identifies recurring themes, monitors sentiment and emotional tone, and surfaces emerging trends – all in real time. It allows artists and their teams to respond quickly to shifts in fan interest, tailor communication, and make smarter decisions around marketing, merchandise, content, and tour planning.
Currently, the tool is processing more than 10 million Discord messages each month across communities comprising over seven million users. The company says it’s already being used by teams at Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Epic Games, and Google, as well as a wave of independent artists who are building fan-first ecosystems using Discord’s community features.
“Superfans are the engine of the music business—but until now, truly understanding them has been guesswork, and time-consuming,” said Taz Sharp, Music Lead at Levellr. “This tool changes that. We’re turning chaotic Discord chat into a goldmine of insight – showing not just what fans are saying, but what they care about. It’s a whole new way to build connection, loyalty, and smarter strategies.”
Sharp’s comments reflect a broader trend in the industry toward first-party data and direct engagement. As traditional social media platforms become increasingly crowded and algorithm-driven, many artists are turning to Discord as a space for more personal, unfiltered interaction with their audiences. These servers often host discussions ranging from track releases to behind-the-scenes content, fan art, mental health, and memes – but until now, the data has largely gone unanalyzed.
Levellr’s AI tool aims to fill that gap by making community sentiment and conversation measurable and actionable. For artists and teams juggling multiple platforms and thousands of fan messages per day, the system provides a level of clarity that was previously difficult to achieve without manual intervention.
The tool also supports a shift in how artists and labels view fan engagement – not just as a marketing channel, but as a source of strategic intelligence. By understanding what excites, frustrates, or motivates their most loyal listeners, artists can tailor everything from music releases to merchandise drops with greater precision.
The launch adds to Levellr’s growing suite of services aimed at helping creators build sustainable careers through community. Known for powering fan engagement for major acts such as Bring Me The Horizon and Glass Animals, the company has positioned itself as a critical bridge between traditional entertainment infrastructure and the new wave of creator-driven fandoms
