TFGL Picks: What We’re Buying This Record Store Day

With Record Store Day 2025 right around the corner, Team That Fangirl Life have been busy writing our wish lists.

From limited-edition 7” singles to dreamy colored vinyls and soundtracks that transport us straight back to our favourite memories, we’ve combed through the list and narrowed down the releases that have us buzzing with excitement. Whether you’re a Swiftie, a Potterhead, or just someone who appreciates a beautiful pressing as much as a banger of a track, our Record Store Day 2025 wishlist is packed with the picks that speak to our souls – and maybe yours too.

So grab your tote bag, prep your queue strategy, and let’s dive into the releases we’re manifesting into our collections this April.

Lauren’s Pick: Live From Radio City Music Hall – Gracie Abrams

My top priority this RSD has to be Gracie’s live album. After attending the London show, I am so excited to get the chance to relive it through this record and hear some of her iconic note changes. I’m also not over The Secret of Us yet, and look forward to hopefully being able to listen to the album, plus some earlier Gracie tracks, in a new format.

Charlotte’s Pick: Wicked – The Soundtrack

I absolutely loved the movie and the soundtrack – it all just hit the right notes for me. But honestly, what’s really got me buzzing this Record Store Day is that pressing.

The pink, the green, the glitter? This is the most “me” pressing I’ve ever seen and I’m obsessed!

Issy’s Pick: Me and The Dog – Sam Fender

Sam Fender has played the soundtrack to my entire twenties – every high, every low, and everything in between. His music has grown with me, and his latest album, People Watching, just cements that even more.

So when I saw the Me & The Dog limited edition pressing, I knew it wasn’t just a want – it was a need. It’s the perfect addition to a collection that already holds so much meaning for me.

Charlotte’s Pick: Fortnight (7″) – Taylor Swift

As a proud Swiftie, it should come as no surprise that the number one item on my Record Store Day wishlist is the Fortnight 7″.

The moment I saw it, I knew it was a must-have. From the cover art to the exclusive tracklist, it’s everything I love wrapped into one perfect little collectible.

Lauren’s Pick: Better Off Without EP – Rachel Chinouriri

Featuring her hit song, All I Ever Asked, this EP was released back in 2022, when Rachel was still mostly unknown to the mainstream. Now, supporting Sabrina Carpenter on her tour and having a hugely successful debut album, she is sure to be headed for superstardom.

Getting the chance to grab this great EP before she blows up is an opportunity I can’t and will not miss.

Charlotte’s Pick: Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone

Harry Potter was probably the very first thing I ever truly fangirled over, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. The books, the movies, the magic of it all – it shaped so much of my childhood. And the music? Pure nostalgia.

I feel like listening to it on vinyl will be extra special…
