The BRITs Nominations 2025 Are Here: Who’s Up for What?

The UK music industry gears up to showcase the hottest talent hitting airwaves in 2025 at this year’s BRIT Awards.

The 2025 BRIT Awards nominations have been unveiled, and Charli xcx leads the pack with an impressive five nominations.

Alongside Charli xcx, several other artists have emerged as strong contenders. Ezra Collective, The Last Dinner Party, and Dua Lipa each secured four nominations.

Central Cee, one of the most prominent names in UK rap, earned three nominations, further solidifying his place as a force in the music industry. Iconic rock band The Cure also received three nods, a testament to their enduring influence on music after decades in the business.

The BRIT Awards, often referred to as the British equivalent of the Grammys, have been a cornerstone of the UK music industry since their inception in 1977. Celebrating the best in British and international music, the awards have a storied history of recognising emerging talent, iconic artists, and groundbreaking music worldwide. Over the decades, the BRITs have become known for their memorable live performances, and unexpected moments, and have built a reputation for capturing the brightest talents of the music world.

The 2025 BRITs also celebrate rising stars, with JADE earning her first two solo nominations, marking a significant milestone in her career away from Little Mix. Rachel Chinouriri and Chappell Roan join the list of first-time nominees, each securing two nominations whilst representing the fresh talent shaping the future of music.

Back in December, Myles Smith was announced as the winner of the 2025 BRIT Awards Rising Star Award. The accolade, supported by BBC Radio 1, highlights emerging British talent, with Smith joining an illustrious list of past recipients including Adele, Florence + The Machine, and most recently, The Last Dinner Party.

The much-anticipated awards ceremony is set to take place on Saturday 1 March at London’s O2 Arena. Viewers can watch on ITV1 and ITV X in the UK, or on YouTube if watching from elsewhere in the world.
