When I heard that London was having one of the three Pleasing pop up shops, I knew I had to be there on opening night. I finished work and rushed over to Shoreditch knowing there would be a huge queue.
Sure enough I arrived and the queue stretched around four sides of the block, with people waiting for hours and hours. We joined and got talking to the people around us, with rumours of prices and what the shop is like inside on everyone’s minds. When we were about 50 people from the front a cry went up! Ticketmaster had just dropped pit tickets for some of the UK dates. Panicking we all got the app up and started to try and get any tickets we needed. Luckily my friend managed to get me a Night 2 London ticket; the last ticket I needed. This was the first win of the day…
We finally made it into the shop and were hit by wallpaper everywhere. They had covered all the surfaces with the floral Pleasing pattern, it looked amazing. We went up for our photo opportunity in front of the Pleasing backdrop with the shop staff being super helpful and giving us the time to take as many photos as we wanted.
Eventually, we got to the back of the shop where they had one of each product on display. I absolutely loved all the cosmetics boxes, they are so so pretty. I could not decide whether I wanted a jumper or a t-shirt as I loved the colour of all of them. I decided eventually, with lots of help from the people around me, to get the blue sweatshirt. I went to pay and got given the free Pleasing tote bag everyone was getting with purchase, the second win of the day.
Having experienced the shop, we headed out and started walking back into brick lane. Then, we heard another large shout from back at the shop but we couldn’t see anything…
Not wanting to go back we continued walking and stopped on the corner check maps, finding somewhere to go for a drink. As we did we noticed none other than Harry Lambert was walking towards us. Obviously we went up and had to talk to him. He was absolutely lovely, and had come to check out the shop and pick up loads of the free tote bags! We got a picture and told him we loved the pleasing designs.. the third and final win of the day.
I really loved my pleasing pop up experience, with the staff and crowds around being so lovely and fun, making even the queuing element not too bad. I hope this becomes a more regular thing with new Pleasing drops, I will definitely be going to any more that happen. Did you go to the Pleasing pop up?
